Cardinals out of the Playoffs
Well I guess it has been official for a while now but the St. Louis Cardinals are officially out of the Playoffs for the first time in a long time. There will be no repeat for the 2006 World Series Champions. Losing all of your starting pitching and having mediocre years from your star players will do that to a team. As far as the future goes, I think LaRussa's out, Eckstein wants to stay, Izzy wants to stay, Pujols & Rolen are locked for a while, hopefully Edmonds retires and the Cards finally decide to get off their ass and make some off season transactions. Still it is upsetting that my baseball season is over (by that I mean I have no interest in watching any of the other teams) I guess I will root for the (shudder) Cubs seeing as how they are representing my division although I kinda of like the Phillies too. As far as the AL goes who cares? I never watch AL baseball until the world series. I'm fed up with Yankee/Red Sox hype like they are the only good teams in the league. So here's hoping the playoffs are as good this year as they were last year.

Alright dude, you say you hate the AL and the Yankee/Red Sox rivalry but the fact is that rivalry kept baseball going for years. You also said you hope this World Series is as good as last years but last years had the lowest ratings in the history of baseball. So I'm hoping it's better which means having the Yankees there.
Just because the ratings were low doesn't make the games bad. I watched almost every playoff game last year and there were some great games. Besides my team won, how can I hate on that?
